Captain Gets in Shape! is a beginner reader book for children. It tells the story of Captain, a 160 pound Newfoundland dog, who wants children to play with him because no matter how hard he tries it is hard for him to get in shape. The book is created to encourage children to read aloud. Used in schools and at home, children who struggle to read aloud will read to Captain, a certified therapy and reading education assistance dog.
