He experienced fifteen years of poverty, an environment filled with drugs, living at times without electricity, losing his father to the prison system, and even sexual abuse as a child. Reconciling these experiences was not easy. Despite these struggles, Bennie founded Positive Minded People in 2011 to build an inspiring community of people that change lives on a local and global scale.
