Responding to the growth of scholarship in the field of disinformation studies, this handbook provides an overview of the subject within the context of media, while also charting routes for future research. The volume firstly explores the evolving conceptual frameworks and theoretical approaches within the field of media and disinformation studies to establish how this area of study is at once novel yet at the same time displays theoretical continuities with more established traditions of inquiry such as media studies, journalism studies, propaganda studies, rhetoric and political communication.
