Social media marketing can help you get the word out about your business and can boost brand awareness. But there's one thing social media is even better at - putting face to your business. As a business owner, that's good news because all too often customers see businesses as just that, businesses that are only out to make a buck. And when you change that by letting them see that there's a real person behind it, and real people working in it that truly want to help, it can create new customers and increase the business' bottom line. Social media is one of the best ways to do this. By checking out posts, pictures, and videos the business has shared, customers and potential customers are getting to know the business and it's becoming much more personal to them. That relationship that's formed then builds trust and loyalty. And when they need the product or service the business sells, it's likely that they'll head on out to the one of the Facebook page they were just visiting. In order to get it right, business owners have to make their posts personable, and friendly. Instead of being a stiff, boring page that speaks in industry jargon, posts need to be fun and entertaining, and speak to the customer just as you, the business owner, would if they walked in through your business' front door. Injecting personality into the posts will make the customer feel as though they really know you, as a person, not a business owner, and that they're honestly connecting with you. And that is what social media is all about.
