The price of freedom is not free-that is a common fact. That is what Josephine Condamné learns quickly when her life is turned upside down. With her parents gone, who were believed to have died in a car crash, and WWII raging on in Europe, she has no choice other than to do her part for France. As a sniper for a French Resistance group based outside of Paris, Josephine learns not only that war pulls people together and apart in the queerest of ways, but that to fight a war, you need to know what or who you are fighting for.
