You may not be interested in becoming the life of a party. You may, however, want to polish your speaking ability. Whether you are face to face with another person or standing on a stage, be certain that you message, whatever it may be, is received with the proper attributes, be it interest, humor, horror, pleasure, surprise, excitement or more. Never leave the impression that people do not want to hear you speak more, since most of what you said failed to have the necessary attributes. Get to be a polished speaker, whether telling a joke or a serious story, telling it to friends or a large audience from a stage.
