Furcas is a demon and the eponymous Knight of Hell, and is tasked with a mission that even he finds disreputable, especially considering its source: Heaven itself. Not that they're asking. Heaven does not ask. Facing annihilation from above if he refuses and even worse from below if he flees, Furcas must navigate the treacherous realm of faeries, ghosts, and their wintry goddess in order to win free of the machinations of Heaven and Hell alike.
