Organizations of today are facing a set of new problems in terms of Customers, Competition, Technology and Government legislations. Having global players around, the scenario is truly change driven and is raising questions of survival and sustenance. No. of HR initiatives and experiments have been tried and tested in the past to address business challenges. Many western philosophies, concepts have been installed in our organizations. Indian organizations have tried to follow well-known western management gurus and replicate their success formulae with or without customization. All these attempts were successful to some extent and benefitted those organizations. The employees' need for meaningful existence is prominent these days. Employees are no longer happy with professional success or material gains alone. Secondly, corporate leadership is looking for newer ways to motivate employees and find out innovative solutions. On this backdrop, it was felt whether we can try our own solutions to address our HR issues?Many western philosophies, concepts have been installed in our organizations. Indian Organizations have tried to follow well-known western management gurus and adapt to their formulae. All this brought success to some extent and benefits to those organizations.
