The kids learn this lesson the hard way as they each have to engage in life or death battles in order to regain what some may call their' "Magical Mommy". The author wants to let the readers know how important family is, but A Mother's Day Adventure is the first installment of the "Joe's Tall Tales" series for a reason. He believes a family wouldn't survive without a woman playing the motherly role for her loved ones.
