That much was clear in the sharp forward movement of the body, the swift look at his son, who responded with a stunned, half-look at his dad and a quickly dipped head. He sprang up, a panther unleashed yet restrained by instinct. I was mentally poised, quite prepared to give as good as I got. So far and no farther. I have had enough of being bullied.
