Alexander Martin grows up in post-war Germany as the son of his journalist parents. One day he witnesses an attempt to kidnap his father. Because Alexander remembered the number plate of the car the kidnappers used, George Martin identified the people as KGB agents. This incident is the start of a long journey for Alexander Martin, which is going to bring him halfway around the world. He starts to work for Security International Ltd. After a lot of training, he does several jobs for them. Then they ask him to do his most dangerous assignment yet. A husband and wife team contact the authorities in the UK Embassy in East Berlin with knowledge of a spy at the highest level in the UK government. The couple intends to reveal the information only once they are in the West and granted political asylum. The company assigns Alex Martin to get the couple out from behind the Iron Curtain. But traitors put their lives in mortal danger.
