As the curtain came down on the 20th century, the outlook was promising for the United States. Without the counterweight of the Soviet Union and its satellites, it seemed that Uncle Sam could finally impose his will on the world, implanting or overthrowing governments and economies, according to the interests of the United States or Israel, the two visible heads of that enormous iceberg that we erroneously call Zionism. The United States would be the policeman of a "perfect" world. However, as has been seen so many times in history, unforeseen events ran counter to all forecasts, and once again Pandora's Box has been opened. The 21st century has begun and its first decades have surprised historians and observers. The Second Cold War and religious hatred characterize this beginning of the century. The modern Crusades, this time not to the Holy Land, but to the Land of Oil, ignited ancient religious passions, in what seems to become an eternal vicious circle. Humanity, in spite of its technological advances, continues to behave according to a morality that is 200 years behind... and the planet's resources are dangerously reduced, affecting, apparently irreversibly, the environment.
