Hamzah's Moor Adventure is the story about a lively young boy, named Hamzah. Hamzah has constantly been longing for something thrilling to happen in his life. Being the youngest in the family, he has always been overprotected. Yet he convinces his brothers to let him accompany them on a camping trip. He travels with them to a picturesque moorland. His eyes thus feast on a part of the beautiful and unparalleled landscape of the Kashmir valley which is full of meadows and lofty snow covered peaks and magnificent waterfalls and streams. There is a cool breeze to cherish, tall grass to dance upon and colorful flowers to admire. The slight scent of flowers is forever present in the cool air. Roses, daffodils, daisies, lilies, tulips and dandelions brighten up the scene and are a delight to behold. Birds of all colors add music to the silent meadow. They are nature's musicians. Butterflies flutter around like tiny ribbons and bring peace. All flavors of paradise are here!Hamzah soon discovers that there is more to these moors than just loveliness. He in fact starts calling them, "the Mystery Moors". He witnesses many strange happenings. At odd times, he hears mysterious creaking sounds, one night he is suddenly woken up by wails and then there is a nocturnal robbery. Hamzah, at times, cannot account for the behavior of his own brothers or friends. Thus he no longer knows whom to trust. These strange incidents are intertwined with merriment and delight. Hamzah makes new friends and becomes a part of their lives. He shares their joys and sorrows. He also becomes acquainted with many people both good and bad.
