Temptation and testing are not the same thing!

We all face temptation but God promises us that with temptations He will make a way of escape for us. Of course, we have to choose the path of escape but nevertheless, it is available to us. Tests are something very different. Testss present us with the opportunity to examine our hearts before God. They dare us to be transparent and honest with ourselves. They become a vehicle for the Lord to take us to the next level of spiritual maturity and freedom.

This 7-day devotional does a deep dive into Psalm 84:5-12 - the Valley of Baca, and discusses how to be fruitful even through the testing of our hearts. The author gives an honest account of her own testing following the death of her mother and second cancer diagnosis. Through it all the wilderness became a place of refuge, refreshing, strength and grace - the true fruit of the spirit. If we believe that God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours shouldn't we hear what He has to say about the wilderness?
