Continuing right where the Oracle Chronicles vol. 1 left off, we continue on the adventures of Shon and his companions to save their land, no their world. Shon, Lahn, Edde, Visgal, Lucan and Solaf have suffered a great deal in trying to retrieve the Oracle Gems and keep the evil Dark Liege from entering their world, as he had been in the past. In continuing the story the companions had been split up only to meet up again to discover not only have they thought their dear friend Samara was lost but that the Air Gem they so needed may have been lost too. The companions decide to split up again in search of the remaining Oracle Gems when they discover the Dark Liege's power is growing faster than they thought. The land is torn apart further by the Black Army as the split groups of companions encounter more monsters and evil than they even thought imaginable. One group heads to the sea to find the water gem, while the others head off through the highlands in the west of their lands to find the Fire Gem. New villains arise, and new allies come to the aid of the companions in these final days before the Dark ones return.
