Sanctuary Pete Chandler
Sanctuary
Pete Chandler
In her quest to leave a violent, abusive husband, who is a person of interest in the disappearance of his first wife, Elizabeth Lynn Alberti flees to Mexico and winds up in the middle of a human trafficking situation. During her stay, in what was purported to be a good sanctuary for abused women, she is subjected to wars among the cartels, smuggling, and assassinations. Her life is once again threatened after discovering the connection between the sanctuary and the cartels. In order to save herself and other female victims, she is forced to rely on her past experiences. As a result, she finds herself incarcerated in one of Mexico's infamous unisex prisons. In order to be freed, she must convince the American authorities to believe her accounts of what took place and how she survived the ordeal.
