That afternoon my warm and comfortable condo was claimed by the tax man. The money was gone, my girl was gone and my car was on blocks. That night, in great despair, I received a message. "Sell everything. Meet me in Mexico." In the San Francisco airport, I held my passport and a 60-liter backpack. My journey as Perro sin casa began. The homeless dog ventured from the colorful streets of Mexico City to the ghetto of Buenos Aires. Along the way, I found love, friendship, infections, adventure, confusion, and death. When I embarked upon this journey the plan was no plan. Wherever the wind took me, wherever the train stopped, Perro sin casa was home. After writing this book it is clear - traveling in a strange land is what brought this homeless dog to life.
