Walking on the old land of Afghanistan made me feel that time has gone backwards. The desolate and lonely wilderness may be no different from the distant ancient times. The villages surrounded by wilderness reminded me of the original agricultural society. Those low-rise adobe village houses symbolized the simplicity and backwardness of people's life. Even the crowded dusty town fairs were repeating the old tradition of centuries ago. Life here lagged far behind today's rapidly developing society in the world. However, history has shown that it is difficult to make change on this piece of indomitable land, even though this land is desolate, poor, and war-torn.
