Deception People Real Laplaine
Deception People
Real Laplaine
Troy Evans has a secret. To a segment of the population it would seem natural, but to many, they would categorize him as a freak, a circus act to be studied. As a young boy, he fell from a tree, a near-death incident, but one that unlocked an ability to leave his body and return to it at will. Years of practicing it, never revealing it to anyone, especially his religious parents who would most certainly consider he was possessed by a demonic force. Now, living in Minneapolis, a graphic artist, Troy lives a normal life, occasionally taking jaunts around the world to hone his skills; but one day, he finds himself drawn to a hotel hundreds of miles away where he listens in on a conversation between several men who are discussing the details of a domestic attack they are planning to launch against the nation. Shocked by this discovery, he reports the matter to Homeland Security. Within days, his apartment is stormed and he is arrested on false premises, raced through a trumped up judicial process that declares him dangerous to society and mentally unfit, and incarcerated in a mental facility. Locked away, Troy's secret disappears from all ears. Troy manages to eventually convince his psychiatrist that he is telling the truth, and to her shock, demonstrates his ability to perform out-of-body. What ensues is a thrilling race against the clock, as the two attempt to find someone who will believe Troy before the terrorist attack happens, all the while, they are being chased down by the very powers in Washington who are planning the debacle, and who are intent on silencing them before they can expose the plot.

"Deception People. Telling the truth can be fatal, is the first of a series of books that is a well written, intriguing, action-packed thriller with a supernatural twist that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you like Patriot Games and The Bourne Identity, I recommend this book."
"The Deception People is a well written novel that is nerve-wrackingly real, and suspenseful."
"An Intelligent and Thoughtful Roller Coaster Ride with a Rare Twist..."
"Réal has again created a thriller you don't want to put down until the end."
