Rachel has lived in New York City for most of her life, but she was ready for a change. She was tired of the hustle, the noise, the crowds of people. She was ready for country life. Plans were made and put in place, she was moving west to build her own business offering trail rides and overnight camping trips to those that wanted a western experience. But her plans almost get sidetracked when she meets Joyce at an office Christmas party. Their quick connection, from the moment their eyes meet, puts doubts in Rachel's mind about going ahead with her plans, but she has to be true to herself. The plans to build her ranch and make a life for herself in the rugged western mountains came before she met Joyce, she has to follow through with them. But will she lose Joyce in the process?Joyce has her dream job and is living where she has always wanted to live-in the city that never sleeps! She has plans of her own and they never included living in the country again, she was loving city life and did not want to leave it now that she could enjoy it. The restaurants, the museums, the night life, it was all she ever wanted. When she meets Rachel, it is an instant merging of the souls and Joyce knows she has found her love, the one meant for her. But then she learns of Rachel's plans to leave, to move west, can her heart handle a long distance relationship? Should she try, knowing heart break was a strong possibility, whatever she decides. They do try and it does work, for several years, until the decision has to be made. One of them has to move to be with the other or they need to break apart, neither woman wants to continue the way it is, but they also do not want to lose each other. Finally, the decision is made, but can they live with it?
