How To Read This BookThis book has been divided into six parts to guide the reader from a place of desire to the destination of excellence. Part one talks about the background which inspires the need for books like this. It talks about how our environment imposes on us certain tendencies and expectations. And how those tendencies influence the habits we adopt. Part two talks about the power of habits to shape our personality. It exposes to the reader how to use habits to strive towards achieving a worthwhile goal. Understanding habits helps to fashioned the right approach towards making something of our lives. Part three exposes the readers to some of the negative actions that wrong habits have led people to take. It demonstrates why habits have assumed descriptions like character, nature and identity. In fact a culture is underlined by a collective sets of habits. Part four encourages the reader who is under thirty to master the habits which will help him or her to excel early in life. And explain why being focused in life before thirty is ideal for excellence in life in all endeavours. Part five proceeds to explain why adopting twenty habits and mastering them will help anyone to excel at any endeavour. Here, the habits are listed and explained with examples and quotations where necessary. Just like other parts of the book each habit is summarised to ensure important points called 'gold nuggets' are not forgotten as the reader moves to another habit or chapter. Part six exposes the reader to what the objective of excellence really mean. This is to avert a situation where excellence is only seen as acquiring more things we think can make us happy. It explains excellence from the point of view of scripture: that excellence is the ultimate habit, the very nature of doing things consistently in the best way like Jehovah intended it to be. The AuthorREVIEWS Remarkable and insightful. A book dealing with comprehensive habits every youth needs to know. The author presents thorough guidelines on how to maximise potential habits for a life of excellence. To benefit from this book, do not read it like a story book, instead take time to study and practise the habits recommended in this book and you will experience great impact. Until I read the manuscript, I knew little about the power of the mind and its imaginations. I now know that if I master meditation, I will become highly productive. I choose to think deep to maximise my potential. As youth leader, leading teens and adult youth, I can confidently say that this book will shape your dream and challenge you to aim high and pursue purpose. I highly recommend this book to all youth who lay hold of it to enrich their talents. Emmanuel Larwey (Medical Laboratory Scientist -MLS)(Youth leader, PIWC TAKORADI) I am Osei Sefa Kelvin. I am 25 years of age and a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Currently I am a National Service Person. The empowerment series on the '15 habits I wish I had mastered before age 30 for a life of excellence' has had a great impact on me, especially concerning the identification of talents. After reading the chapter on identification of talent, I realised that I am a good teacher and writer. I will therefore pursue this so I can make great impact wherever I find myself. Kelvin Osei Kelvin (BSc. Natural Resources Managements) This book can be described as a self-revealing adventure series. It is well suited for any young person who seeks to live a life of purpose and focus. It is in itself a corrective tool for anyone above the age bracket mentioned, who has strayed. Its conversational and practical approach is fit for any 21st century discerning reader. The author's shared life experiences is a message for us all. Let us get ready for an exciting journey to destiny with a message that is in harmony with the messenger. Stephen Chemel-Eghan Trained Chemist, High School Tutor and Youth Worker
