After joining with the Rangers of Isthmius, whom he once thought to be myths, Jardus has traveled across two of the four realms, and he now faces a threat from Marnothil, the dark ruler of the Shadow Warriors. As Jardus and his friends and comrades make their way to a new realm, they find themselves pitted against foes of all kinds, facing death several times. The Rangers of Isthmius and their allies, the elves of Ardenhilm, come to the aid of the realms as Marnothil tries for a victory that he has already been denied once before. The dark king is determined not to fail again.
