An impressive first novel. Trilby Road reads like Janet Evanovich meets Tim Dorsey. Two best friends from Florida come into an inheritance that leads them to a peaceful lake in Wisconsin. On a return trip to Florida to investigate a property issue, they become targeted by a serial killer. With the assistance of two brothers cum love interests from Wisconsin, they set out to take down their would-be killer. Trilby is a wonderfully complex character who shows off her strength and intelligence throughout the unfolding drama. The novel has excellent comedic timing and two well-developed canine companions who totally steal the show. I hope this turns into a series!
