This is a story about the mer-people and their world as witnessed by a young boy named Noah. It is the early 1900's and young Noah unwittingly gets swept out to sea while playing on a home made raft. He drifts far from home and somehow floats to an idyllic green island, a spiritual place for the people of the sea...the Waterbourne. After rescuing a mermaid from a cave, noah finds himself in trouble and must drink the tears of a mermaid in order to survive...and transition.
