As a young boy, Isaac West, was visiting his grandfather in Myanmar when the Emersons and their mercenaries attacked and killed some of the families in Mogok. As his father lay dying he gives Isaac his twelve star sapphire ring, a ring said to have special powers, and asks his son to promise to avenge their family against the Emersons and their drug empire.
