Taylor, MD, is a consulting psychiatrist and former associate clinical professor of family medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. In addition to private practice, he has held academic, administrative, and clinical positions including Training Specialist, National Institutes of Mental Health; Program Chief, Marin County Community Mental Health Services; Consulting Psychiatrist, states of California and Texas; Director, Student Health Services, California State University, Northridge; and Medical Director, Austin-Travis County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center. Among his other books are "Mind or Body" (1982) and "Health Fact, Health Fiction" (1990).
