More recently, the author chose to pursue his artistic passions, ultimately becoming one of the world's most renowned aerial photographers. Haas has authored a series of photography books on African wildlife and four collections of aerial photography published by National Geographic, including two of the most widely-distributed single photographer works in National Geographic's history. Haas's photographs have appeared in major exhibits throughout the world, and his work has been featured on CBS News Sunday Morning, ABC News Nature's Edge, and CNN, and in National Geographic magazine, Time magazine, Forbes Life, and numerous other publications. A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, Haas has frequently lectured at both universities.
