In Trouble on the Home Front
Robert Emerson
Greedy, promiscuous financial trader Dickie is transformed to be a schoolboy in wartime 1940s Britain. He has great trouble adjusting his attitude to the times, despite the usually loving, but always severe, discipline inflicted by a mother he does not recognise, a Headmaster caning him at Assembly, schoolmistresses, his Uncle and Aunt on a farm. Dickie tries to impress Land Girls with knowledge of the future; his attempt to seduce buxom Betty fails disastrously, aristocratic Deborah puts him across her knee for a spanking for boasting. Later she decides to test his tales of time travel, helps him to escape, and together they set out to find a future that fascinates her, where women have achieved equality with men, while Dickie longs for a return to his life of affluence. But not everything has changed for the better in the 21st century!
