The Further Ramblings of an Amateur Genealogist
Sarah Ashley
This second book of my research blog concentrates on the Green family, specifically when they were in Seaford. It also corrects and sometimes finalises the storys of such people as Cecila Evans, Alexander Paterson and Harriet Bidlake to name but a few. Pedigrees are improved with some lines going back to the 16th and 17th centuries. More distant cousins mean more interesting characters, the best of which was Dougie Coy Byng, the first cabaret artist to have his name in neon lights at the West End. Another distant cousin played cricket against W. G. Grace. Finally, it starts to demonstrate how inter married a small community like Seaford can get and how really, everyone is connected. Six degrees of separation and all that.
