It is like the thought of children thinking that the stork brought them in an egg rather than grasping the birth process and what had to occur between their mother and father for them to get here as a child. Likewise, the Black Ministers and Laity are connected to something and somebody also that has a great deal to do with their image. Certainly this image required many sacrifices, challenges, time and humility for those whose shoulders that the Black Ministers and laity stand on in their particular culture crosses denominational lines, emotions, egos and much more.
