Some of the anthropologists with hardship appointments to the Primitive-Planet Studies Department of The League of Benevolent Galaxies believe that on backward planets, cloudy poetry is made from feathers and rain, but most believe it is mere dust. Thus, only a few specialists are comfortable enough with what is called "English" to fight for Grants for the study of the grunts and markings of the primitive creatures of Earth (who have yet to fly even to nearby Mars).
