This experimental novel is a Derridan collage of fragments in place and time. We learn rapidly, through the community, of a cosmic catastrophe on Earth, and the events that brought this global crew together. Elsewhere in counterpoint, in non-places, Nullitopias of the book's title, we hear isolated radio messages, of celebrations and commemorations; and know people, identities and events by their functions. At a time, somewhere in the distant skies, Jack Malik reflects on his identity, journey and circumstance.
