Exciting, fascinating, inspired, moving, unique; these are just a few of the cajoling descriptors found on the back of short story anthologies such as this one. Such descriptors are purely subjective and may apply no wider than the person who wrote the description. In truth, people who create often want to share their creativity, to have it heard, seen or read, and hopefully, in so doing, to move something in the observer's emotions. It is not true that if a work is worthwhile then it will always receive the attention that it needs in order to connect with a wider audience. On the contrary, many artists struggle to be noticed. Most artists are far better able to create art than promote their work. We don't wish to cajole readers, however, we are hopeful that a few people who read the back of this book will go on to read the interior.
