Wendy is a practice nurse with a husband and a new baby boy, but she has a secret. Since childhood she has had an alter ego: the Warrior Woman. She speaks to her alter ego when she's in trouble. After all, Wendy believes she is invincible. She is the Warrior Woman. Then Wendy's biggest challenge of all hits her: her kidneys are growing into a huge mass of cysts leading to kidney failure. Not everyone really understands this experience for Wendy. She still has a family to bring up, a role as a nurse, wife, and friend to fulfil, and a life to live. The Warrior Woman isn't enough to help her any more. To get her through the twists and turns of this challenge, she's going to need extra help.
