We can hear from God anytime we spend time with Him whether it's in a book like this or in more of a specific bible study guide. I have those too. This one helps us hear from God without any other voices interfering. Bible studies are great tools, and we can usually learn a lot more history of the Word from them but going to His Word and trusting Him to teach you personally is the greatest gift we will ever give to ourselves. God has plenty of teachers we can and should learn from, but the best source for our relationship really should come from personally reading and listing to Him.
