"Ursa Major: The Odyssey of Ulysses the Bear" is a hardcover collection of story books thirteen through eighteen in the Ursa Major coloring book series: "The Bear with a B Sharp Encore", "The Bear who went Spelunking", "The Bear in a four-button Cardigan", "The Bear in search of a Self Portrait", "The Bear with Writer's Block", and "The Bear swept up in Celestial Grandeur". These are multilevel educational and entertainment books intended to build vocabulary, drive curiosity and a thirst for science, and inspire. Each pair of pages features the story of the bear as told from a third-person perspective, a charcoal-esque black-and-white picture that can be colorized with pencils, and an introductory factoid intended to encourage further study. Older readers should pay more notice to the footnotes than the story.
