Fate has a strange way of striking, especially for Jeff Raven. One minute he finds out that he's going to be a Daddy, then he is rewarded with a great promotion with a large bonus that he and his wife will use as a down payment on a new home. Finally, Jeff is arrested and convicted of the First Degree Murder and Rape of a young, beautiful college girl and sentenced to die by lethal injection. So, what's the big deal? The only guilty thing that Jeff did was being at the wrong place at the right time. Follow the threads of fate as they twist around several lives over a period of ten years, from the sleazy politician looking to better himself at any cost to the Public Defender & local police detective who become friends while trying to save the person that they helped send to prison to the real killer that continued his killing spree during this entire time.
