During the Congressionalelection, with financial assistance of John Philip and help of his friend DavidWood he runs against the incumbent congressman and wins the election in anunprecedented landslide. The new congressman chases womenand legislation with the equal intensity. During a junket to California hemeets Hollywood film hottie of the minute; Nicole Piccard and they began a long intense affair. Thomsonabandons Piccard when he marries Pat. Quinlan. After only four yeas in Congress, Thomson withencouragement of Wood and Philip runs for presidency and against all arts hegets elected.
