TURNING WINE INTO WATER follows the misadventures of two boys, Rickie and Junior, during the Great Depression of the 1930's. The young protagonists stumble their way into one madcap escapade after another. Always pushing the envelope, they experience: a terrifying ride through Hell's Gate narrow escapes from angry shopkeepers flirting with danger on abandoned schooners and narrow-gauge trains racing in an ill-fated soapbox derby accidentally setting their neighbors shed on fire and on and on for a summer filled with madcap adventures.
