Retired Gods is an enchanting adventure featuring the gods of Ancient Greece. Hermes is sent by his father Zeus to fetch a mortal as soon as he departs from life on earth. Timothy, as this mortal comes to be called is a favour requested by the Goddess Hestia. Together Hermes and Timothy meander through many wonderful places, meeting various interesting immortal characters all inclined to a kindly disposition and alas otherwise, for not all are happy with this arrangement. A pair of inquisitive eyes keep lurking and scrutinizing this happy event. Jealousy erupts causing the 'offended' to design schemes and plots that are intended to harm Timothy. This charming tale is a vehicle that carries a network of reflective thoughts that bring a smile to the lips and a lasting mark on the brain that will serve forever after the last page is turned.
