Water Sign is a collection of short stories. Cats Lick Their Own Wounds is about a woman who is abused by a man she befriends and ends up being destroyed by him. Don't Let Nobody Tell You About Down South is a story about a confused teenage girl Diamond, who doesn't believe the south was old-fashioned as it seemed. Blonde for Now focuses on Diamond who is torn between wearing blonde hair or wearing an afro. First Kill is about Lila and Michael and their love for each other. Lila is disturbed by Michael's change in behavior, becoming cruel like his father a billionaire tyrant. Water Bearer is a story about Dolfin, who has magical powers to save her tribe, the Dogono from rapist cannibals who try to sell them into slavery. Where's Celie focuses on Diamond again, who hates school, society, injustice and life. Seamonkeys and The Pitbulls focuses on Diamond and she makes allegorical connections with fantasy and real life. All in all there are seven novellas, about 460 pages.
