The Templar's Daughter is a historically based fantasy, set amid the many trade routes between Jerusalem, Arabia and India, during the First Crusade. In 1099 A. D., when Jerusalem is annexed to the Latin colonies, a blind holy man known as Tipilaea, began gathering disciples to initiate the Order of the Templar Knights. His mission is to reconstruct King Solomon's Temple in preparation for the return of the Ark of the Covenant and to restore the true kingship to Jerusalem. Tipilaea's plan is soon thwarted when a Turkish militia raids a spice caravan transporting Galen St. Gilles, the daughter of a Templar master. The Turkish sultan kidnaps Galen and demands the jewels of King Solomon's crown for her ransom. However, the Templars possess only two of these jewels and their offer does not appease the sultan. Galen, who carries the true maternal bloodline of the royal kingship to Jerusalem, is vital to Tipilaea''s mission and so must be saved at all costs. In a desperate attempt, Tipilaea decides to re-activate the mystical Gates of Serras, in the hope of recruiting a warrior from a future age who could bring together the mission and rescue the Templar''s daughter. Once the magic of his ancestors is activated, access to portals into realms beyond the veil of time open new possibilities that span an entire millennium. But what Tipilaea did not foresee was his warrior falling hopelessly in love with the Lady Galen and threatening their entire mission.
