Amarie was seventeen years old, and had never been allowed to meet her Grandparents. Then suddenly her Mom informed her that she'd be spending the summer at her Grandparents ranch. When she asked why, she was told that her parents had gotten into a fight. It had to be bad for them to make her leave home until they could get it resolved. Something was awfully wrong, Amarie could tell by the way her Mom was acting. Nevertheless, Amarie found herself traveling half way across America to stay with strangers. She'd lived in Kentucky all her life, and had made plans with her friends for the summer. The last thing she wanted to do was go to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Cresta hated sending her daughter out west, but she didn't know what else to do. The last thing she wanted was for Amarie to find out where her father was. At least not until they could get to the bottom of things. There was no way this could be true. Please God, help us find the truth, prayed Cresta, and help my Dad forgive me.
