Champagne in a Plastic Glass Susan Legree
Champagne in a Plastic Glass
Susan Legree
This book is a memoir of sorts. It is a collection of thoughts and soul-searching that reflect a life in progress. It is a journey from childhood''s first heartbreak and a young woman''s bewildered angst, of rising and falling and starting over. It is of love lost and found again ... to the bemusement of it all, in old age. Here in this book are essays that observe, as if standing on the outside, peering inward. Also there are rhymes, just as life sometimes is in rhythm, and fragmented thoughts that could never submit to the cadence of a constraining rhyme. These pages are written in the meandering flow of a daydream, and the by-product of solitude. It laughs and cries and loves and grows old gracefully. As I have at long last, become comfortable with myself, it is my hope, that you the reader, will recognize yourself somewhere within these pages, and nod in knowing recognition. Life''s journey has led me to fine champagne served in crystal. And, though champagne is still enjoyed from time to time; I have found that durable plastic, not unlike myself, will do very nicely.
