Mermaids in the Sand is an anthology that includes three generations of selected literary works from Sarah Militz-Frielink's family-interwoven with her own writings. Mermaids in the Sand blends together the writings of some of Sarah's living family members along with the writings of some family members who have passed away. In this book, Sarah embarks on a whimsical journey sharing the struggles of her Grandparents growing up in an orphanage, the triumphs of her Grandfather's medical career, and some life lessons she learned from different family members. Inside this book, one will find mini-biographies of the contributing writers, chapters of poetry, short stories, and reprinted articles-along with snapshots from Sarah's family photo album.
