Leslie Scott was sent to stay with her Aunt Sarah when her parents win a contest trip to Europe. She is unhappy over her circumstances until she makes friends with Michael Burnison and Janet Linn. A mysterious note has aroused her curiosity. She is also disturbed by "shuffling" noises in the attic over her bedroom. Together, with Janet's and Michael's help, they solve the attic mystery and the meaning of the note. The "villain", Walter Kunkel's part in the drama becomes clearer as the story moves along.
