My Cruise Seymour Strongin
My Cruise
Seymour Strongin
This little book is essentially an effort to explain more fully myself and my forebears to my children; Abby Strongin Cherner, Laurie Goldberg Strongin and Andrew M. Strongin, to their children, and to interested others up and down the line as long as these pages hold together. I have been extraordinarily fortunate to have spent much time with my grandparents, Max and Fanny Strongin and Ben and Rose Guld. They all survived my 26th birthday, and I don't want their histories to be completely lost. My children ken my parents, Sol and Miriam Strongin, but there is much more about them too that I feel they should know better, or perhaps, for the first time. Thinking and writing about my life and times has occasioned much laughter and not a few tears. This book could be much better even though it entertained me considerably and made me fell sad, but in a most loving way. I talked too much about some parts of my experiences and perhaps too little about others. Many of the photographs are placed in a helter-skelter way within and without the text. But I finally had to let go, and let go I did. Read, learn and smile. And, children, don't worry about forgetting any of this. It's all saved in your blood.
