Murder Reigns in Wallisrose Sophie Sheldon lives in the sleepy, affluent suburb of Wallisrose. Early one summer morning Sophie discovers a body in a remote area of her property. Panic and fear quickly take a back seat as Sophie, a mystery buff, dives into a sea of intrigue, past and present. The story steps back into the 1700s to reveal the history of Wallisrose, Sophie's roots, the Peterson brothers and Basil and Anna Maria, immigrants from Italy. Jonathon and Samuel Peterson arrived in America in 1750, disowned by their family and forced to leave their homeland. Soon they find their past has followed them across the ocean, jeopardizing their new life in America. Returning to the scene of the crime finds Sophie mounting her own investigation as she snoops around for clues and encounters potential suspects. As crime scenes pile one on top of the other, Sophie is implicated as the perpetrator. Sophie is compelled to continue investigating despite warnings from police officials, friends and a bad omen. Plagued with nightmares and visions of the murdered victim does not deter her quest to solve the mystery. Curiosity killed the cat and as the suspense mounts, Sophie finds her nine lives all but gone.
