Medical school graduation occurs in June. Medical students become doctors, and after a brief vacation, residency begins on the first of July. Short lab coats are traded in for long ones, and the title M. D., appears after the names of the newly crowned doctors on their neatly pressed lab jackets. Truth is stranger than fiction, and this is more so in medicine than anywhere else. Drawing upon my real life experince as a doctor, I will take you through medical school, residency, and private medical practice on a hilarious journey. The characters are fictional, but the stories are real. Laughter is the best medicine. Taking a humorous look at medicine is not only healthy but important.
