"The Winter Hour" represents what I feel are the best poems from those written and kept over many years. I hope some will cause the reader to connect in a visceral way with a range of feeling covering the peaks and the depths of "all that made me live." Though a number of these descend into the darker areas of human experience, there are those as well which attempt to celebrate the very height of joy and delight that sometimes grace our lives if we are lucky. I believe the creation of this collection will constitute a "success" so long as the words within ring with undeniable truth among those who share its pages.
